Practical elder care support

Someone alongside you, beyond the front door.

Practical accompaniment can make an appointment or errand easier to manage. Plan the journey, the assistance and the handover with Yodda before setting out.

Availability and arrangements are confirmed for the address where care is needed.

What help involves

The details that make support useful.

  1. 01

    Before the journey

Share the destination, date and expected duration. Discuss mobility, access and assistance through the appropriate onboarding process. Agree transport, the return arrangement and an authorised contact for any changes.

  2. 02

    During the visit

Eligible on-ground support can help with accompaniment, access and practical coordination at the destination.

  3. 03

    After the visit

Help arrange the return journey and share any relevant updates or follow-up details with the elder and authorised family.

People and responsibilities

Who does what?

A Field Care Representative can provide eligible on-ground accompaniment. This practical role differs from personal care or nursing. Under Standard, the person assigned to on-ground support may not be an Army veteran.

Costs and inclusions

Know what is included and what it costs.

Each Yodda Visit provides up to two hours of on-ground support. Before the service begins, agree Visit use, additional duration and charges. Vehicle, entry and third-party provider costs are separate from accompaniment. Non-medical chaperoning for accompaniment, such as a bank visit, is an exception that does not require the convenience add-on. Confirm other convenience requests separately.
